SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT

Approximately 40% of European teenagers and children have already faced a situation of bullying at school.
When we consider the serious impact of school bullying on mental health, physical health and school leaving, we understand the urgency of targeting this problem. Indeed, school bullying can lead to anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, early school-leaving as well as low concentration and social difficulties. We would like our approach to be a bit different. Bullying isn’t talked about enough, parents, teachers and students don’t know about its causes and effects and emotional health isn’t a topic that is talked about on a regular basis. We would like to work on communication and use modern means of communication in order to create an anti-bullying campaign and to turn all the project participants into anti-bullying ambassadors.

AIMS

1. Broadening our knowledge of the phenomenon of bullying (context, causes, functioning, solutions) and broadcasting what we will have learnt;
2. Creating anti-bullying media (videos, boards and leaflets) and broadcasting them as well thanks to the use of ICT;
3. Training the participants so that they become anti-bullying ambassadors;
4. Using the trained participants as well as the media created to try to reduce significantly (or even eradicate) the phenomena of bullying in our schools and then share our media and experience with other schools.
5. Developing students' language skills, creativity and critical thinking.
6. Developing digital, basic skills and key competences

EXPECTED RESULTS

- Guidelines for a safe Internet
- Awareness campaigns
- Creation of Power Point, Sway and Prezi presentations
- Making a project blog and group in social network
- Creating charts to illustrate survey results.
- Students will have created essays, drawings, photos, posters and multimedia resources about bullying in real life and on the internet, and about ways to solve the bullying problem, and shared all of them on Twinspace, blog and social network group.
